Dog Face Success Story
Meet Thunder, a happy-go-lucky, tail-thumping 2 year old Golden Retriever owned by the Sorensen Family. Thunder started off as an adorable, but somewhat *rambunctious* puppy and has turned into an awesome family dog through Dog Face Training.
Says his owner David: " I was a bit nervous having another dog added to our family. We have one older rescue dog, Sweet Pea, who is set in her ways. In addition, we have two cats. I was also concerned how I could get my pre-teen kids involved with the care and training of Thunder. Yes, he was a cute ball of fluff, but that wears off in time. I do not think we would have brought Thunder into our home if I had not had Dog Face in my back pocket, waiting to help with Training. We started out with Puppy Class, which gave us a great overview of how to handle a new puppy, and giving us the basics. From there, we moved on to beginner and teenager classes, to help build his (and our confidence). Here, he really started to key on specific phrases and learned great recall skills. The kids loved the classes as well, as they felt a part of the learning experience so when we got home, the tips we learned were transformed to day-to-day environment. We then decided to have some fun with Thunder, and added Tracking classes. What a blast."
Altogether, Thunder has taken Puppy, Teen, Beginner, Intermediate, and Tracking, Tracking Two, and Tricks and Games Classes. Thunder has learned to walk nicely on a leash, greet strangers politely, listen carefully for cues and has overall become a well-mannered family dog. Thunder especially loves Tracking and hopes to get Tracking Certified one day! Keep up the good work Thunder!
